To me Zac Posen is a genius. Time after time he creates stunning, original collections, that keeps this girl wanting more. His Fall 2010 Collection is no exception. Chock full of wearable items from for every occasion, but my favorite part are the rich, saturated colors.
The show began in a muted color palette that seemed to pick up where his Fall 2009 Collection ended. Using rusty bronzes and sleek navys Posen created gorgeous cocktail dress, that come to life as they swish down the runway.

Posen once again added a luxe element with fur, and this time around he combined it with fierce colors,

Posen mixed things up with a bold color change of fuchsia and red,

(I spy with my little eye the Vogue staff front row!!)

Now the hard part is getting these pieces into my own closet...

It's all in the details...

Fall 2010 New York Fashion Week is in full force!
The silhouette, the architecture, the neutral color palette, they all came together beautifully in the Herve Leger Fall 2010 collection. The bandage dresses that put this label back on the map have been taken to the next level. The tight, body conscious style was still there, but the uniformed strips were replaced with geometric pieces of varying angles done in neutrals,

grays,

and black.

The layering of textures adds such a dramatic dimension to an otherwise dull shape. And the geometric detailing breaks the body up in a flattering matter, creating shapely, feminine lines...

Azria kept the focus on the dresses being strutted down the runway with overly simple hair. An unexpected pop of color on the lips added edginess to the otherwise plain faced models.

The addition of the architectural elements at the hips conjured images of the skyscrapers just beyond the tents.

(does this dress not scream Empire State Building?)

In the need for a sexy silhouette, look no further then Herve Leger.
